Forbes Presents 30 Under 30: Food & Drink Tastemakers

Industry News| Amber Jones, FoodForce, Jan 4, 2017

While 2016 was full of viral food and beverage trends (we’re looking at you, poké bowls and rolled ice cream!), 2017 seems to be a promising year with tons of clean eating and overall great food. Forbes named their 30 Under 30 in the food and beverage world, and we spotted a few familiar faces in the fold. #greatjobeverybody

Many great faces have comprised Forbes’ 30 Under 30 2017 in food and beverage, and that’s no easy feat. After months of careful deliberation, interviews, and research, industry specialists have finally come down to a solid list of young entrepreneurs, engineers, chefs and more who are taking American consumption by storm. Here are a couple of our friends who landed a coveted spot in this year’s class:

Drew Anderson, 29, Co-Founder, Cleveland Kraut

We met the Cleveland Kraut crew at Expo East back in September and we are more than impressed with the brand and products. They know how to make sauerkraut extra delicious with their use of unique spices and herbs in the fermentation process.

Lizzi Ackerman, 29, Co-Founder, Birch Benders Micro-Pancakery

This company has created no-fuss pancake mixes that come in different, better-for-you varieties, including paleo, gluten-free and vegan. They’re so delicious, we had a Free Brunch Friday in our office with them!

Tatiana Birgisson, 27, Founder, MATI Energy

Birgisson turned her energetic dreams into a reality, and now MATI is on shelves on Whole Foods down South. We’re looking forward to their expansion!

Check out the rest of Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in Food & Drink - Great job to all of the honorees!
